Built in 1952, this ranch-style home in West Hyannis Port was once a cherished vacation retreat for the family who designed it, filled with decades of memories. Inherited in 2024 by the couple’s four children, the home was tragically destroyed after a heating system explosion caused a flood. The property was sold then and acquired by Carpentry Home Group—who saw an opportunity to reimagine the home entirely. Originally a 1,430 sq. ft. one-story structure with three bedrooms and a cozy sunroom, the home has been transformed through a bold expansion and full structural renovation, including a reinforced foundation and the addition of a second floor.
The redesigned interior now features an open-concept lower level with a cathedral-style ceiling, skylights, and expanded living spaces, including two additional bedrooms, an office, and a third bathroom. A luxurious master suite occupies the new upper level, complete with ocean views, a marble-covered bathroom with heated floors, and a soaking tub under panoramic windows. Every detail was carefully curated—from white cedar shingles and new roofing to spray foam insulation and updated systems throughout. The outdoor space was also reimagined, with a new firepit, garden, fencing, and an extended deck that captures the beauty of Craigville Beach. Once complete, the home will be listed for sale, offering a rare chance to own a fully modernized coastal retreat that honors its historic charm while delivering contemporary luxury.
