Frequently Asked Questions
Why are gutters so important for Cape Cod homes?
Cape Cod gets heavy rain and nor'easters, and properly working gutters move that water away from your roofline, siding, and foundation. Failing gutters lead to ice dams, rot, and basement water problems.
What type of gutters do you install?
We install aluminum gutters sized and pitched correctly for your roofline, along with downspouts that direct water safely away from the foundation.
How often should gutters be cleaned or inspected?
At least twice a year — spring and fall — and after major storms. If your gutters are sagging, leaking at seams, or overflowing, it may be time for replacement rather than another cleaning.
Can new gutters help prevent ice dams?
Gutters alone don't cause or cure ice dams, but correctly pitched gutters and clear downspouts — combined with good attic insulation and ventilation — reduce the standing water and refreezing that make winter damage worse.
